“Top Chef” contestant Jamie Lynch cooked up some trouble for himself.
The 41-year-old chef from Charlotte, N.C., was arrested for public intoxication in Charleston, S.C., the night before the finale of the show was set to air, The Post and Courier reported.
It is unclear exactly what actions led to Lynch’s arrest, but he spent Wednesday night in Charleston County Jail and made bail on a misdemeanor charge on Thursday afternoon, according to the local paper.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a Daily News request for comment.

Lynch was booted from the Bravo series in the middle of the season, but continued to compete in the online only show “Last Chance Kitchen.”
He is scheduled to appear in a cook-off against chef Katsuji Tanabe at Charleston’s 5Church on March 18.
The event is part of the Charleston Food & Wine Festival and a spokeswoman for the event could not confirm to the Post and Courier if the arrest would impact his participation.
Lynch was also involved with a Friday afternoon event and a Saturday evening dinner as part of the festival.
